Lauren Harders Healing Fund

Hello! My name is Lauren and I'm a 23 -year-old cancer patient. Thanksgiving 2020, I went to the emergency room with overwhelming abdominal pain. Following a CT scan that showed abnormalities in my colon, I was connected to a colorectal surgeon who soon did a colonoscopy where he found a large malignant mass in my sigmoid colon. I went in for surgery on December 28 to remove that part of my colon, but they found that the cancer cells had spread to my abdominal walls and couldn't continue the surgery. I had an infusion port placed into my chest on January 18, and I should be starting chemotherapy within the next week and a half. It is scary being the youngest my medical team has seen with colon cancer, but I know that this ensures fast-paced and good care throughout my battle.

I'm starting this GoFundMe to start to help with medical bills (such as office appointments, chemotherapy treatments, emergency room visits, prescriptions, etc) as insurance will not cover everything. This fundraiser will also help me with some living expenses as I am not able to work currently - things like groceries, my car payment, and transportation.
