Lauren's cancer battle
Donation protected
The day before thanksgiving last month our family received the news that my sister Lauren had been diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma.
The most troubling part of this was that she had been going to the doctors for almost a year and had received no correct answers regarding her health and a troubling lump on her neck that had been continuing to grow. Finally when the lump became too troublesome and had to be removed via surgery, they sent it in for testing and found it was cancerous.
My sister is a single mother of three, my two nieces and nephew.
She often found herself working two jobs to make ends meet. Not only will she not be able to work these grueling hours , but she should not have to when going through this. She started chemo this week and needs to spend more time taking care of herself. House payments, insurance, water bills, electricity , car payments, and everyday needs don't get put on hold when you get sick and this is what this page is for in addition to medical costs.
While cancer always is serious, there is the good news that this is only stage two. So far it seems that it can be managed well with the right treatment. As I stated before she started chemo this week, and is scheduled to undergo treatment for the next two months with possible radiation as well. There is no question that we will beat this only how we handle the next few months.
What I'm asking for is anything you can give. We are just trying to keep the lights on an pay the bills so she doesn't have to continue to work. She should have one thing on her mind and that is getting better for her family. I would ask that you share this to any and all social media accounts that you have and keep this going! Thank you for your assistance.
