Lauren's Journey Through Cancer

My name is Krista and this fundraiser is for my good friend, Lauren Hale. I met Lauren when we were working at Carbones Bar and Grill in Lakeville. We had a blast working together, always talking about her upcoming wedding, life, God, and everything in between.

In April 2016, Lauren told me about a lump she found in her right breast.  She made an appointment to get the lump checked out but was sure it was nothing. A couple weeks later (May 2, 2016), Lauren was diagnosed with breast cancer. 

Lauren's breast cancer is Stage 3 and is currently in treatment at Fairview Ridges Cancer Clinic. She began aggressive chemotherapy the week following her diagnosis. When she is done with chemo she will then have radiation, a double mastectomy, and another cycle of chemo. 

Immediately after her diagnosis, the doctor told Lauren  she couldn't keep her job at Carbones. Lauren is also unable to work fulltime at her week day (hourly) job. Every Wednesday, Lauren has to miss a full day of work for chemo. With her usual monthly bills, the decrease in income and now these additional medical bills she needs our help.

Lauren received bills for May 2 - May 12 that which she owes $2421.88. That is only for 10 days! The funds I raise will go toward Lauren's current and upcoming medical bills. The first round is due at the beginning of July. 

Please help me raise money for Lauren. I don't want her to have to worry about money on top of everything else. She is getting married on September 17 and it would be a GREAT wedding present for her to have her medical bills paid for by then.
