Laurence 'Larry' Fenske
Donation protected
It is with shattered hearts that we share the devastating loss of a truly remarkable man, Laurence Fenske. A beloved husband, devoted father, cherished son, passionate coach, and friend. After a fierce nine-month battle with pancreatic cancer, Laurence 'Larry' left this world far too soon, surrounded by love and the legacy he built both on and off the field.
He was everything to his family. A rock to his beautiful wife Nikki and a guiding light to his five amazing children: Jordan, Carter, Olivia, Kloe and Zoe. His absence leaves a hole in their world that words can’t fill, but his love, strength, and values live on in every one of them.
Ball wasn’t just a sport to Laurence, it was the heartbeat of his life. He lived by the motto “Ball Above All,” and it was more than just words. It was a way of life. Through ball, he found purpose, lifelong friendships, and even met the love of his life, Nikki. He played with heart, but he coached with something even greater; love, patience, and a genuine desire to make each player feel seen, valued, and capable of greatness.
As a coach, Laurence had a rare gift. He didn’t just teach the game - he changed lives. Every athlete who stepped onto the field with him felt his belief in them. He built confidence, character, and community, one practice, one player, one game at a time.
Over the past year, while battling cancer with the same strength and grit he brought to the field, Laurence and his family faced unimaginable challenges. The financial toll of medical appointments, lost wages, and now funeral and memorial costs has added an extra layer of hardship to an already heartbreaking time.
We are reaching out with open hearts to ask for your help in supporting Nikki and the kids. Donations will go directly toward:
Covering the costs of Laurence’s Celebration of Life
Paying off any bills connected to medical treatments, visits and so on
Offering the family some financial relief as they navigate life after this devastating loss
Giving them time and space to grieve without the immediate pressure of financial instability
Honoring and celebrating a man whose life was built on love, legacy, and the power of team
No contribution is too small. Every donation, every share, every prayer makes a difference. Let’s carry forward his spirit, his motto, and his love for the game and people by helping the family he loved so fiercely.
Ball Above All - Always.
