Hi everyone,
The people who know me well know that I never ask anyone for anything monetary to benefit myself. I've been working three jobs since I graduated from my undergrad so I'm able to pay my bills on my own.
Last month, I started an amazing journey with my first program day of MCLI. This program is intended for professionals within the Lowell, Lawrence and Haverhill communities to have a judgment free space to discuss personal challenges in their day-to-day community engagement.
We discuss societal issues and injustices that are often silenced in our everyday conversations. MCLI's mission is to "strengthen participants to make
social change by becoming knowledgeable, skilled and confident to
affect social change from a personal to a global perspective".
I am a leader. I volunteer in the community and dedicate my life to guiding young people on their path to success. This program will make me a better leader and give me the resources to make the most impactful changes in our community.
This week, I made the hard decision of resigning from my job. I resigned because I don't feel that the path I'm on right now is going to bring me the fulfillment that I'm looking for. But through resigning, I lost my funding for MCLI.
I'm asking for the help of my family, friends, and professional network to make sure I'm able to graduate from MCLI in June.
Any amount is greatly appreciated. I love you all so much! There are no words for the amount of love I'm shown on a daily basis from other humans. I know we can do this!
THANK YOU!!
