We’re Beverly Self and Barbara Clay. Last week, our baby sister, Debbie Oxford-Zelenske (Tootie), became ill. She was rushed to the hospital and all types of tests were run. Three days later she was put on life support and tomorrow we are faced with the heartache of removing that life support. Tootie, a single mom, has no life insurance or assets. Her daughter Lauren is a sophomore in college, and without the scholarships and aid she received last year, the thought of paying for college is daunting. My family is helping all we can and Lauren is going to get a job, but that will not be enough. Since many of you have asked what you could do or how you could help, I decided the best thing you could do for us, besides prayers, is to help Lauren. Instead of sending flowers or buying food, it would mean so much to us if you could honor Tootie’s memory by donating to this fund for Lauren’s education. Tootie and Lauren are both loved by so many people, and I know this act of love from our friends will mean so much. Thank you.
