On August 10th, 2023, Lauren McDevitt unexpectedly passed away at 60 years old. This week, Lauren planned to move her twins, Sean and Caroline, into their Charlottesville apartments for their second year at The University of Virginia. She also was greatly looking forward to moving her eldest daughter, Caitlyn, to Boston to begin her career just following her graduation from UVA.

Lauren and her three children, Caitlyn, Sean, and Caroline, have touched all of us in various ways. We are asking for donations to help support the family, the funds will go toward funeral expenses and continued education for her children, as education was incredibly important to Lauren.

The family is holding a visitation at Woody Funeral Home (1771 N Parham Rd, Richmond, VA 23229) on Monday, August 14th, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A celebration of life will be held at St. Michael’s Catholic Church (4491 Springfield Rd, Glen Allen, VA 23060) from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. preceded by a brief visitation beginning at 9:30am.
