Lauren Kettell's Battle with Cancer
Donation protected
Lauren has battled this insidious disease for 4 years now "Ewings Sarcoma". A very rare cancer that only afflicts children. She has been receiving care from Phoenix Children's Hospital, Mayo Clinic, Banner Health and Cleveland Clinic. She has had the best care possible fighting this aggressive cancer. To date, she has had two leg surgeries, a brain surgery, and multiple rounds of chemo and radiation. In addition to pursuing many naturopathic and untraditional treatments.
Recently re-diagnosed for the third time in March of this year with 12 tumors in the bone throughout her body. From clavicle, spine, hips to tibia. This cancer travels. She underwent radiation and is now going through different levels of chemo in addition to doing some non-traditional treatments. And unfortunately most not covered by insurance.
At the moment she is holding her own and is living at a Sorority House at ASU and coming home when she needs to. Trying to gain weight and enjoy a "normal" college life. We are now trying to raise money for a third time to continue to cover her treatments. Cancer not only effects the patient but also the loved ones around her, sisters, friends, Mom and Dad. It has a rippling effect that is unbridled. And it has certainly had an economic impact on our family. We are trying to keep up but need your help. Please donate what you can, every little bit helps. God bless everyone and a sincere thanks for your donation.
