At age 9 two months ago, Lauren Ho lost her mom suddenly. She and her mom, Stephenie, moved to Reno to settle into a cozy new home and a new life, and they were excited.
On Sunday August 30th, 2020, Lauren got up early and went to mom's bedroom. She discovered her mom's lifeless body in bed. Instinctively, Lauren called 911 and then called dad, Ardy. But, it was too late. Mom has passed.
Words cannot describe this little girl’s experience. Her world has completely turned upside down. Now returned to L.A., re-enrolled in her former school, and back living with dad, but a life without her mother.
Dad is struggling to make ends meet, as well as caring for Lauren; now, all of the responsibilities are solely his.
As her uncle and the employer of her parents, I’m put together a collection from you, her family’s friends, families and co-workers, showing Lauren that the world still has her back, and that her future can still filled with possibilities, even without her loving mom.
Your donations will be directed to an educational fund managed by dad, Ardy Ho, who is her current guardian.
