Lauren Grace Miller

Lauren Grace Miller has been readmitted to the PICU and is currently undergoing multiple tests to figure out was is causing her to be so sick. She is dealing with brain inflammation (encephalitis) and as of yesterday (2/8/23) was having refractory status epilepticus (continuous seizures), despite being on many medications to help stop the seizures. She had previously been admitted last week (2/3/23) to the PICU but was discharged home days later (2/6/23) because she had much improvement in her neurological status, almost back to her sweet, smiley self. However, yesterday morning (2/8/23) upon waking, she was unresponsive and began having seizures. She was emergently taken to the hospital where she had to be reintubated. Now, the PICU team working with Lauren has not made any definitive diagnosis. She will continue being monitored to figure out what is going on in her little body. She is a fighter and we cannot wait until we hear the doctors say she is HEALTHY!

Our Father God has been throughout this entire situation. We have seen Him show his love and mercy to our family. The outpouring love and prayers has not gone unnoticed. Please continue to pray for healing for sweet Lauren, healing of her brain, healing of her body, and no lingering side effects. We praise God in the good and the bad and fully trusting HIM! He is our source for peace.
