Lauren "Casey" Garza Memorial Fund
"A man tells his stories so many times that he becomes the stories. They live on after him. And in that way, he becomes immortal." -Big Fish
Our beloved Lauren "Casey" Garza peacefully passed away on Monday, June 28, 2021 after a hard fought 5-year battle with colorectal cancer. Casey was a wonderful husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend who touched the lives of those around him. He leaves behind his beautiful and loving wife, Linda, and his proud adoring son, Hunter.
Casey dedicated his life to his family and to his work as a graphic designer in the entertainment industry for over 45 years, as well as being a gifted storyteller and writer. He had a beautiful mind. Anyone who had a conversation with him, however briefly or at length, always left with a phrase, an idea or an inspiration that would stay in their minds long after the conversation had ended. His life stories that he told were often repeated by those who were lucky enough to hear them. Casey was also known among friends, family and sometimes even strangers for his sense of humor, creativity, endless source of ideas and epiphanies. He never refused to lend a helping hand when needed.
We are all devastated by Casey's loss. We want to give Casey the memorial he deserves, honor his memory, and say our last goodbyes.
We are currently asking for donations to help cover the cost of Casey's memorial, medical and other expenses due to his family's loss of his main income. Please consider donating, as any amount will truly help his family during this difficult time.
You can donate here or preferably directly to the family via Venmo @Linda-Wake-Garza.
Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity.
