Some of you may know that Kieran and I recently experienced the heartbreaking pregnancy loss of our baby at 10 weeks. After a D&C procedure, our little one was sent for cytogenetic testing, and we’re still trying to process the grief that comes with such a deep loss.
During my time in hospital, I was given a small resin heart by Holding Hearts Baby Loss Support to keep, in memory of our baby. It may seem like a small token, but in that moment, it meant everything. It gave us something tangible to hold on to when everything else felt like it was falling apart.
That’s why on July 26th we’re running the inflatable 5k to raise money in honour of our baby and in support of Holding Hearts, who do so much to ensure that no one has to face baby loss alone. They provide memory hearts and bereavement resources to families in need of comfort, care, and connection.
To help raise funds, we’ll be taking part in the Inflatable 5K, joined by some of our amazing friends who have been a huge support to us throughout this journey.
If you’re able to, please consider making a donation. Every contribution, no matter the size, helps Holding Hearts continue their incredible work — and means so much to us personally.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness and support.
