Laura’s Unique Brain

Hi All

Thank you for visting the page of Laura Biazzo. As Laura’s so eloquently states.... “my brain is very unique and quite complicated” and we love her for being so determined not to be labelled by her cruel diagnoses.

Laura is the sole carer of her beautiful mother who suffers with dementia and only discovered her own brain tumour after cycling to A&E with memory loss. She felt fine but struggled to recall things to mind and became concerned when she couldn't remember her gorgeous niece and nephews name. Thankful an amazing team of Doctors called her name as priority and insisted on doing MRI scans, where the brutal truth unveiled. The cancer is stage 4 and an operation to remove the tumour was carried out by a pioneering Surgeon on 16th Sept. The tumour is Glioblastoma level 4, the most malignant and aggressive brain tumor known. Her 1st words after surgery where expressions of concern for her new friend on the ward.. 

Which is so typical of Laura, as she is best known for her community spirt and well remembered for caring for the infirm and elderly. As she transitions into a programme of treatments and care in Milan, she is truly grateful for the support she has received in the last few gruelling  months.

On behalf of her friends and family, we desperately hope to raise the funds required to support the care Laura needs during the 1st phase of treatments chemo & radiotherapy.   In the meantime her sister, Monica has left family and life in London and quit her job to care for both mother and big sister in Milan. Hence the fund raising here.

Grazie per avere visitato la pagina di Laura Biazzo. Come Laura eloquentemente dice: '' il mio cervello e' veramente unico e abbastanza complicato''. L'amiamo per essere cosi' determinata a non essere etichettata dalla sua crudele diagnosi.

Laura per anni si e' presa cura da sola della sua bellissima madre che soffre di demenza. Ha scoperto il suo tumore al cervello dopo essere andata al pronto soccorso con perdita di memoria. Si sentiva bene ma aveva difficolta' a ricordare i nomi della sua stupenda nipote e nipotino. Fortunatamente, una fantastica team di dottori ha chiamato il suo nome come priorita' e insistito che facesse una lastra MRI. Il suo e' un tumore al cervello glioblastoma a livello 4; il piu' maligno e aggressivo che si conosca. L'operazione per rimuovere il tumore visibile e' stata fatta il 16 di Settembre 2019.

Laura e' conosciuta per il suo spirito comunitario e ben ricordata per prendersi cura degli invalidi e anziani. Mentre sta' in transizione con un programma di cura a Milano, e' veramente grata dell'aiuto che ha ricevuto negl'ultimi strenuosi mesi.
Sue sorelle Monica  hanno lasciato famiglia e la loro vita a Londra per prendersi cura della loro madre e sorella a Milano.

Per conto dei suoi amici e famiglia, speriamo disperatamente di raccogliere i fondi necessari per la cura di cui Laura ha bisogno durante i prossimi mesi di radiotherapia e chemioterapia.
