Laura’s London Marathon 2019
As most of you that are visiting this page will know, sadly we recently, quite suddenly lost our Dad.
I wanted to try to give back and say ‘thank you’ for the excellent care he received at The Alexandra Hospital in Redditch on the ICU (Intensive Care Unit)
The staff were absolutely amazing at taking care of both Dad and us at a time when emotions were running very high.
I was was lucky enough to get a ballot place for the London Marathon 2019 and had not yet chosen a charity to raise money for. Following recent events, I would love to raise money via ‘The League of Friends’ to give directly to the ICU ward.
You never ever know when you will need emergency care and I’d like to think that by raising money in memory of Dad and my marathon running, other people will benefit from the very best care if ever they should find themselves in need of it.
