Laura’s Journey Battling Cancer

Though my mom insisted she didn’t want to impose on the community, I feel very strongly about helping her through this tough time. Laura Massaro is the owner and operator of Border Town Pizza, and has given so much of her time and love to the community—I feel that she is more than deserving to get a little help back. This is not her first battle with cancer, as she has been in remission for a little over a decade after battling leukemia. Due to her preexisting condition, her medical bills are astronomical and her income alone doesn’t nearly reach what is needed. She is also going to be unable to work for upwards of 6 months, if all goes well with treatment post surgery; happening on December 27th of this year. Ideally, we’d like her to be able to relax and stay home as long as she needs in order to get better. She needs more time with family and friends, and the only way we can make that possible is with your help.
