Laura's Breasts: Bigger, Larger, and Unsmall

Hi there. I'm Laura Jacoves. I'm a trans woman living in Brooklyn. I've recently encountered a hiccup in trying to secure my gender-affirming breast augmentation surgery. My insurance was dropped from my provider's network without warning. Figuring out a way to move this surgery forward in any way while keeping other trusted doctors I've been seeing has proven to be unobtainable. I am hoping to raise the money to pay for my breasts out of pocket so that I can continue with my coverage uninterrupted elsewhere.

While I am very happy with the boobs that HRT has provided me, they are still an impediment to my "passing" and thus my safety as well. People generally gender others in their periphery before they've even taken a look at the other person. As hostility against trans femmes rises, I need to be gendered correctly to feel any sense of security in my day-to-day life. I need to get this done ASAP as the window to trans affirming health care is narrowing.
