Hi, I’m Brittanie Bush and I’m trying to help my dear friend Lauran Hebert in this time of need. After finding out she was pregnant, she was told she was in heart failure (low ejection fraction), had cancer cells on her cervix, and pre-eclampsia. She ended up having an emergency c-section at 32 weeks and was placed on life support while the baby was sent to the NICU. She came off of life support and spent a few days in the hospital for monitoring. From there, they found a lesion on her shoulder. They did further testing and are unsure if it’s bone cancer or bone disease. She was discharged and stayed at the Ronald McDonald House while the baby was in the NICU. The doctor referred her to Shands for more testing, and she had an appointment set for 9/29/2025. The baby was discharged, and they were able to go home. Upon returning home, she was told she had 30 days to move out of her apartment. On top of everything else going on, it was more added financial stress she did not need. Saturday 9/27/2025, Lauran began having severe pain in her abdomen. I called 911 to assist, and they took her to Sacred Heart in Miramar Beach. From there, she was transported to Pensacola. She was told she had a tear on her uterus, but upon further testing, she has a pretty big blood clot on her scar from the c-section. They are trying to see if medication helps, but if not, she will have to have surgery to remove her uterus. She has been in the hospital since Saturday and is unsure of a discharge date at this time. Lauran was just cleared to go back to work, and this has set her back tremendously because even if she doesn’t have surgery, she will be on bed rest for another 6 weeks. Family and friends have been helping take care of her two boys, Eli, who is 9, and Samson, who is 6 weeks old. My goal is to help them find a place to live as soon as possible so she has a place to come home to with her children and also help with travel to doctor's appointments as Lauran has a very long road ahead of her.
If anybody has it in their hearts to donate or send some prayers for my friend and her family, they will appreciate anything!
Thank you so much.
