***The person who is known for helping everyone else is now in need of your help.*** After weeks of non-stop migraine pain, on November 9, 2019, Laura Gwin underwent emergency brain surgery to remove a unknown (until then) brain tumor with acute hemorrhaging. So severe was the bleeding, and resulting pressure into her brain, the Neurosurgeon felt she would not survive the night without immediate intervention. We are grateful to say that the surgery was successful in removing the tumor and hematoma, thus saving her life. The emergency is over, but now starts the road to recovery. There are many unknowns as the full extent of any brain damage or impairment is discovered. We do know that she, the sole monetary support of her household, will be unable to work for weeks. For a woman who is the primary caregiver to an elderly mother with dementia, and a daughter with special needs, the loss of income is challenging. Add to that the medical bills this event will bring, and it becomes devasting. Please consider donating to help Laura and family. All monies donated will go directly to Laura to be used at her discretion. If you are unable to to donate money, perhaps you'll consider participating in the Meal Train campaign to assist her at home. We would like to thank the Nurses, Doctors, and staff at Cox South for the attention and care they have provided. Thank you to her employers and management at Digital Monitoring Products and Farmers Market of the Ozarks for their ongoing support, even before we knew of the brain tumor diagnosis.
