Laura's Cancer Treatment

Asking for help is hard. This Christmas, our wonderful mother, Laura Strobel, was diagnosed with cancer. The Good News: It is treatable. The Bad News: She does not have health insurance and the out-of-pocket payments will rapidly deplete her small savings. Delaying treatment could turn deadly quickly, so we are moving forward.

She has a tough road ahead. Her faith is strong. We're raising funds to help pay for the looming medical bills (chemo, radiation, and any supplemental prescriptions) so she can put all of her focus on getting better. She is applying for financial assistance, as well as Medicare B, but a good portion of her treatment will be underway before either kick in. She is staying with her daughter in Maryland during treatment and recovery, so food and shelter are taken care of.
