Let's Celebrate Laura Vincent's Life
Donation protected
It is with deep love and sorrow that we announce the passing of Laura Vincent. She was a spitfire who embraced life with an open heart and a boundless connection to The Great Mystery.
Laura, born May 1st 1950, left this world peacefully on January 5th 2025, reuniting with her beloved mother, Joan Vecchiola, and her dear brother, Terrence.

Laura {FireMaiden} was a radiant force whose wisdom touched everyone she encountered. A wild bohemian spirit, she found beauty and humour in the simplest moments, sought meaning in all things, and was guided by a deep spiritual connection to the Universe.

She will be remembered for her command of the English language, commitment and service to AA, her creative energy, spiritual nature, and sharp wit. She was a true hippie at heart, living by the values of Honesty, Open-mindedness and Willingness. She always reminded us to seek the Magyk in every day.

She is survived by her cherished siblings, Nicholas, Pat (Jean), Toni (Nick), her sister-in-law, Norma, and her best friend, Hanna, who all held her in the highest regard. She was an adoring aunt to Brandon, Amanda (Diego), Giulia (Sal), Teah (Mike), Brooklyn, Justin, and Jason, and a beloved great-aunt to Paiton, Elliott, and Sterling. Her legacy of love and care will live on through them.

The bond between Laura and her baby (and only) sister, Toni, was one of deep care and mutual support. From their early years, they took care of each other through every challenge life presented, with Laura guiding Toni to her first meeting. As time passed, the roles reversed, and Toni faithfully cared for her sister until the very end. Their relationship was defined by a constant, unbreakable love — two sisters who stood by each other through it all. Their bond will live on, forever.

Laura’s spirit remains alive in the hearts of all who knew her, never extinguished. She will continue to inspire those who were touched by her warmth and wisdom. We take comfort in knowing that she is reunited with her "Ma", Joan, where love and light never fade.
We want to honor Laura's legacy in a way that reflects her beautiful spirit. We are raising funds to:
Plant a tree in her memory, accompanied by a plaque to commemorate her life.
Support the costs of her celebration of life, ensuring it reflects the joy and beauty she brought to the world.

In appreciation of your generosity, any donation of $25 or more will receive a copy of Laura's treasured book, First Degree Magyk, as a token of our gratitude. These books will be available at Laura’s celebration of life on January 26, 2025, in The Sanctuary at Manor Road United Church (240 Manor Road East) from 2 PM - 5 PM.
Laura often reminded us to “seek the Magyk in every day.” By contributing to this memorial, you help keep her light alive, planting something lasting that reflects the love she gave so freely.
Thank you for your kindness and for being a part of this celebration of Laura’s extraordinary life.
