Laura Thornley

Hi, we are Laura Thornley’s friends and we are fundraising for her.

As some of you may be aware, our beautiful friend Laura was recently diagnosed with cancer of the small intestine.

After more than 12 months of being unwell, pushing for tests and investigations, she received the devastating news earlier this year. Since then, things have progressed quickly. Laura had life-saving surgery 6 weeks ago, and was told she would be in hospital for approximately one week and then recover at home before beginning chemotherapy.

Unfortunately, this wasn’t the case and 6 weeks later, Laura is still in hospital, and only just beginning to eat again. She still has a long way to go, recovering from the surgery, before she can begin chemotherapy.

As you can imagine, Laura is focusing on getting herself better and stronger for her little boy and will continue to fight this because she’s the strongest person we know.

There is very little we can do to help her with this fight, other than be there for her and maybe help out with financial circumstances.

Due to her illness and being unable to work, there is limited income and the money raised will go towards helping her day-to-day and putting all of her energy into getting back to full strength.

We would love if anybody could contribute anything at all that may help Laura during this long road. All donations are welcomed, big or little.
