Laura Temple’s Boating Accident Relief Fund
On a beautiful August morning, the 4th, Laura was enjoying her day off of work in Lake Tahoe. While swimming in the lake, an inexperienced boater backed up his rental boat without checking his surroundings and backed the boat directly into Laura. She tried to swim away, but the propeller came right at her causing serious life-threatening injuries all along her right side and trapping her right leg in the propeller. She was Life-Flighted from the lake directly to the nearest trauma center. Several life-saving surgeries were performed to stabilize her and to repair all the lacerations and broken bones.
She is home now with me, her sister, and we are so grateful, but there are still surgeries ahead, as well as a long recovery period. I’m starting this Gofundme to raise funds to help cover the cost of her treatment and recovery. As you can imagine, she will be unable to return to work for some time.
