Laura Super's Memorial Fund

This is Laura.
She loved books, baking pies, every dog she saw (especially corgis), every baby she saw (especially her friends'), her friends and family, fighting for social justice, me (Paul) most of the time, and most of all her son Nico.
Laura was diagnosed with cancer less than a month ago and passed away at home last week, surrounded by friends and family, after fighting through a stay at the hospital.
Laura was loved deeply by many and you will find words from many of them below.
We are all still in shock, and are gathering to celebrate her and grieve.
Please feel free to add more in comments - we would love to hear from you.
Laura and I were together for five years.
We were planning for many more, and I promised to walk with her to the end of this.
This was all unexpected. All of this was too fast. There was so much left to say, and not enough time for a proper goodbye.
Laura is survived by her ten year old son Nico, who she loved more than anything, her father John, her mother Kathy, and her brother Daniel.
Her priority was always that her son be loved and cared for.
Her final wish was that her family and friends help be there for him.
I hope that this memorial is a step toward that.
Donations to this memorial will go toward Nico's education and trust after covering Laura's medical expenses, funeral expenses, and fees related to settling Laura's estate.
Final expenses will be handled by Kathy Super (mother), Daniel Super (brother), and Paul Brobst (fiance).
Thank you,
Paul
Some words from Laura's loved ones:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I can only say that you were a treasure from the day you were born.
I loved you every moment of the time we were given together.
You are such a part of my life that all I have to do is look where you sat or where you touched something and I see you.
I hear you, I know you are close.
I see you and I feel you in the flowers and the air and the beauty you created in my life.
I see your love in the little faces of the babies you adored. In Nico, especially.
I keep watching you make sweet little baby duck James squeal with delight in one of the videos on Facebook.
Joy, you were joy to me and you always will be.

Laura had a heart big enough to hold the world, but with a compassion we rarely extend in ourselves.
She loved babies, her son, her family, her Paul, and corgis.
The void she has left in the world can never be filled but we can help ensure that her last wishes and her dreams for her sweet son are honored.

Laura was aptly named for she truly was Super in every way imaginable.
She was incredibly intelligent and possessed this fire in her that could rage like the sea in a storm and a tongue that was built for speaking up, for saying the right things, the things we all wished we could say. She was a treasure trove of information who was constantly teaching us new things and perspectives.
She also owned this quiet grace which weaved its way throughout her life through the comforting things like baking, knitting, or curling up with a good book and a mug of tea.
She was elegant and poised but not in that formal, stuffy way, but rather in that subtle way, the way you want to be if you call yourself a woman.
She could oscillate between serious and silly, striking a funny face to brighten your day or cooing at a cute animal or baby, with her eyes growing wide with light.
While I admired her maturity, I fell in love with her absurdity. But beyond that, she was kind. She gave these amazing hugs that when you were wrapped inside of one of them, you knew you were loved and you were home.
She was a mother, a lover, a friend, a daughter, and a sister. She was deeply loved and will be terribly missed.
