Laura, Simon and children

Hi my name is Marianna i am fundraising for my good friend Laura who is 38yrs old and her family. We met back in 2013 when our girls were at Racemeadow school and we were both pregnant we just hit it off and remained friends since then. Laura had already had a tough year after losing her mum suddenly last year, it sadly caused her to have a break down and her and Simon unfortunately separated, whilst this was tough to deal with they remain the best of friends. Back in June 2024 she had some tests as she found a lump in her breast, after tests it was initially thought it was stage 1 breast cancer but after further tests and numerous biopsies it was then found to be triple negative stage 4 which is the most aggressive form, and had been found in her lymph nodes, whilst this was devastating for family and friends Laura remained positive and started having regular chemotherapy to reduce the cancer then have an operation to remove as much as possible. The chemotherapy was showing good signs of doing its job and although it was tough on Laura she kept going for Simon and the children. The treatment continued and Laura had a PET scan 30th October to check the rest of her body, a week later she received the devastating news on the 7th November that the cancer has spread to various parts of her body this came as a huge blow to everyone, Laura is still having intense chemotherapy which is now being given to prolong her life as much as possible so she can make memories with her family, this will be every three weeks. She is currently sorting out funeral arrangements and getting things in order. I know times are hard with the cost of living crisis and everyone is feeling the pinch in some way but whatever you can donate no matter how small it is it will be very much appreciated and i know It will mean a lot to Laura and Simon.
