Laura & Shane Stanley Flood Relief
Donation protected
Friends,
We are writing this on behalf of our daughter and son-in-law who are victims of Hurricane Harvey in Houston.
Thank you for caring and for any help you may offer.
Sue and Rhett Goby
Laura Goby and Shane Stanley hosted their dream wedding in January 2017 and immediately started saving for their first house. They moved into their house just 2 weeks before Hurrican Harvey's destructive attack on Houston.
The flood waters in the aftermath of the storm left them stranded in an upstairs loft area...until a Good Samaratin with a boat rescued them.
Three days later, they are still unable to access their neighborhood; the flood waters have risen higher.
They left the house with a plastic bin of personal items. They have no clothes or shoes and are grateful to be at Shane's brother's home on an air mattress.
Money will be used for clothing, food and hopefully a rental unit close to Laura's work at West Houston Medical Center where she is a surgical tech. Shane is an electrician and will be using his spare time attempting to make their home liveable when they can finally gain access.
Any help that they can get would be greatly appreciated. While their vehicles and home are insured, it may be weeks or months before insurance adjusters can assess the damage.
Thank you for caring and for helping!
Love and Peace to all.
