If you know my mom you know that she is the kindest, gentlest, and most beautiful woman you have ever met. Her smile lights up the room and her laugh gives everyone butterflies. Her sense of humor can knock you out of the park and her heart is as big as the sky. She has always had an open door to anyone who walked into her home and has many adopted children thru the years who still call her “Mama” to this day. Her name is Laura Rojas and she is angel to all in her life.

As of June 2022 she was diagnosed with end stage pancreatic cancer. This news was life shattering for us all and we knew it was only a matter of time. These past few months she has smiled as often as she can, prayed for and with everyone who has come to visit, and has loved hard and been loved in return.

My mom has expressed her wishes and she asks for a nice service with all of her family and friends. She wants her celebration of life to be filled with life and love. People sharing their favorite memories of her and for those same people to love on the family she leaves behind. All proceeds will go towards the cremation of her remains, the service being held by her family, and food and drinks for the celebration afterwards. Any funds left will be given to the family to allow them to pay bills while also allowing them time to grieve.

Although we are saddened and hurting while we spend her last days with her, we are also rejoicing in that she will no longer be bound to this earth but God is meeting her right where she is and is preparing her for eternity with Him. Heaven is where she’s always wanted to be and when it’s time for the Lord to call her home we know she will be ready.
