After two ER visits, a massive seizure, and a raging days-long 104 degree fever, our dear Laura McGrail was diagnosed with HSV1 Meningoencephalitis on 3/21 and spent the next 9 days in critical care at the hospital. She’s now home on continued IV medication with the help of home health nurses and incredible friends providing around-the-clock support.

Although she’s making great progress after a life-threatening couple of weeks, it will take many more weeks, if not months, for Laura’s brain to heal. In the meantime, medical bills are piling up, and her income as a self-employed wedding videographer is taking a huge hit.
