Laura Needs Your Help: Surgery Setback

Hi, I’m Laura, mother of 5 and a grandmother of 2. I recently had shoulder surgery on January 27th. I knew I could end up with a six-week recovery if I didn’t need my rotator cuff repaired, but if they had to repair my rotator cuff, then it would be a six-month recovery. I went into surgery, and unfortunately, they had to repair my rotator cuff. Now I can’t work or drive for at least the next month or two, and if they do let me go back to work, I will be limited to what I can do for at least 6 months.

I was banking on my tax return to get my bills paid for the next couple of months so I didn’t have to stress about not having an income and so I can heal properly. I had my taxes done only to find out that I’m not getting anything back. I do deliveries for a living, and apparently, I did not make enough for me to get anything back, so now I’m in a situation where I have my car payment, a portion of the mortgage, and my cell phone to pay but have no way to pay those. I’m not gonna be able to pay this month and probably next month. My significant other’s work has slowed down over the last few weeks, so his paychecks are not what they normally are, so he can’t even help me with my bills. I know he would if he could.

The last thing I want is to lose my car because I need my car in order to do deliveries when I can go back to work. Please, if you’re able to donate anything, it would be greatly appreciated. I just don’t want to stress while I’m supposed to be healing. I am having a rough recovery already. I do plan on paying it forward in the future. God bless.
