My name is Nikki. Our family has suffered an unimaginable, untimely loss. I've started this GoFundMe on behalf of Laura's son, Jesse, and his siblings- David, Ilaisa, and Seth.

Laura Caban, was my children's grandmother and a close mother figure to me; a loving, virtuous, and devoted human being who built and prioritized the entirety of her life around her 4 children, and her two grandchildren. A dedicated mother, grandmother, godmother, sister...she was a genuine angel- she loved unconditionally. The way she carried life so graciously was a testament to that.

The morning of August 24th, 2023, Laura attempted to wake up for the last time, with her beloved grandson Noah by her side. She instantly suffered a medical emergency and passed.

I am so grateful..for the time and love she poured into my children, me and everyone in her life. Her children, all of her siblings, and I are absolutely devastated. Everyone who knew her is in disbelief.

When I stepped into the family she had no problem accepting my daughter as her own granddaughter and treated my son when he was born, no different. She loved them both with all of her heart..always willing to help out and stressed how her time with her grandchildren was always a blessing. Everyone who knew her was her friend, a shoulder to lean on...she tethered all those around her, effortlessly and selflessly.

Please help us honor her beautiful soul in the best way possible, she deserves to be buried with the utmost respect and dignity. She left a huge gap in our lives..all support goes towards her funeral costs, memorial, and supporting her youngest two children's living expenses while in bereavement.
