Unbelievable loss! The Bear Fire/North Complex Fire took everything, 2 homes, all personal possessions,  3 cats and a dog.. After 25 years as a teacher at Molokai High I moved back in June to California to be near my family. I moved to the beautiful community of Berry Creek,  CA  with my two cats, Claude and Willow, and all my possessions. All, including the cats perished in the fire. I was not home at the time, so there was no opportunity to evacuate with anything.  I am grateful to be alive with my best friend, Mike Ferrell,  and his partner, Kathy Bachus and their dog Lucy. The future is uncertain but new plans are forming. Thank you all for your kind words of love and support.
