Our friend Laura LaRue is an inspiration to so many people! She is a determined athlete, nurse, and resilient survivor of many challenges. Unfortunately, she was in a tragic bicycle accident during her Ironman Augusta 70.3 on Sunday 9/26. Laura trained diligently for months to prepare for this race and was on track for a fantastic race. Now instead of a medal, she is contending with double pelvic fractures as well as significant injuries to her dominant hand, including a partially amputated finger. Laura does not have health insurance and although she was able to avoid surgery for now, her recovery will be a long journey and the hospital bills will be massive.
