Laura is Fighting Cancer and Out of Work

Hi! A lot of people have reached out inquiring what they can do to help Laura (of Groomer to the Rescue) since she was hospitalized a couple weeks ago - so I set up this GoFundMe for those of you who were hoping to help and for those who might read and want to help.

 

For those of you who don't know Laura - she is the ultimate animal lover and not only - (at age 64) - runs her own dog grooming business - she also fosters and rehabilitates animals of all kinds - especially aging dogs - and donates her time and energy to help shelters and various community programs as much as she can. She is also the mom of three very worried kids and 6 grandchildren.

 

 

 

Laura has been getting progressively sicker and a couple weeks ago, she went to the hospital with horrible stomach pain and an inability to keep food down.  She has since been diagnosed with Cancer and has been hospitalized in Cleveland to treat a number of other issues, including a separate large mass putting pressure on her organs and fluid in her abdomen.   The plan for treating the cancer has yet to be determined.  

 

As previously mentioned, Laura works way too hard running her own small business as a beloved dog groomer and relies on that income for her living expenses. She has been out of work for the last two weeks and based on her current condition and what the doctors have told us, she will not be returning to work in the near future. :(
