**In Loving Memory of Laura Hassan (McEachnie)**

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved **Laura Hassan** of Owen Sound, who left us unexpectedly and peacefully on **August 31, 2025**, at the age of 41.

Laura touched countless lives with her kindness, laughter, and love. She will be deeply missed by her beautiful children **Layth and Zayneb**, her strong and loving mother **Suzanne**, her devoted husband **Mokless**, and all her family and friends whose hearts she filled with joy.

This GoFundMe has been created by Laura’s friends to assist with **funeral expenses** and to support **her children’s education**, so that Layth and Zayneb may carry forward the strength, compassion, and love their mother embodied.

Laura was also a dedicated member of the **Keystone Child, Youth, and Family Services team**, where she gave so much of herself to help children, youth, families, and colleagues. Her warmth, care, and unwavering spirit of helping left a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege of knowing and working with her.

Her faith, too, was the guiding light of her life. She loved the holy shrines of Iraq and longed to live in Karbala, where she had recently returned with her family. Her heart was devoted to the **Ahlulbayt (the family of the Prophet)**, and she lived with loyalty, generosity, and love.
