Help Laura beat leukemia!

My name is Gladys and Laura is my feisty sister-in-law and proud mom to my four rambunctious nieces. Around Mothers' Day 2017, Laura was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia, or AML, which is a cancer of the blood and bone marrow. The devastating news flipped our family's world upside down.
After two months of intense chemotherapy and an international bone marrow donor search, we were so grateful for finding the miraculous 100% match in November 2017, which put Laura in remission for much of 2018.
Unfortunately, Laura relapsed twice in 2019 and spent at least 12 weeks in the hospital for more chemotherapy. She hasn't been her best post-cancer self since.
Today, Laura's donor cells are no longer effective at making healthy red blood cells. Her cancer is now more aggressive and spreading quickly via her white blood cells, which are increasing daily. She is on a cocktail of meds and chemo to slow down the spread until a new donor is found. Still in the middle of the pandemic, this will be the first time Laura will be hospitalized without visitors.
Laura was lucky enough to qualify for a number of grants that covered a great deal of the costs of her first donor transplant but these grants are not applicable to someone in need of a second. With the high costs of a new donor search piled on top of her existing Leukemia-related medical bills from the past 3 years, I've created this campaign to hopefully alleviate some of the stress so Laura can continue to fight! She beat this once before and we know she can beat it again, but we need your help!
