Laura fight her battle against cancer

Hi, my name is Bonnie & I am fundraising for my friend and coworker, Laura Brunner, who has been fighting cancer since 2020. She had 3 months of 2 different kinds of chemo, including one of the strongest ones (red Devil is its nickname). She had surgery, then 20 radiation treatments. Laura was then stable for 2 months then found tumor under arm in lymph nodes. She had all that surgically removed, then 3 months of chemo weekly, plus immunotherapy for 5 months. She had to stop that treatment due to finding another tumor along side of breast, under arm, also in muscle tissue. This resulted in a bilateral mastectomy, which was aggressive and tissue removed down to the bone causing mobility limitations and lymphedema. She started to recover for about a month, had a pet scan, which revealed more cancer in lymph node by collarbone. Laura had yet another surgery (4th time) to remove that, then repeated 25 more radiation treatments and then started another chemo pill, which leads us to where once again more cancer cells were found in lymph node along neck. She stopped chemo pill & is now stage four cancer! Laura is now being referred to a specialist in Pittsburgh and is praying for some relief. As I’m sure you can see, my friend Laura has been through so much and even remained working when she was able in order to keep up with her increasing medical bills! She is a fighter and I would love to see her win this battle for once and for all! In conclusion, Laura will be on chemo for the rest of her life as far as we know right now. She could definitely use your help! Our office (Stoken/Wagner Ophthalmology) as well as OSI have tried to help from time to time, but obviously Laura needs so much more with medical expenses, copays, doctors visits, and even help with purchasing gas and groceries!!
