Hi! My name is Nicholas Labranche, and I'm a current physics and math major at NYU. Today I've come to ask you to help out Laura Crespo. You might ask who she is, but the real question is, who isn't she?
Laura is one of the custodians in the Physics Department at NYU who we've all come to know and love. She's at the department diligently cleaning every day, where absolutely no one complains about the quality of her work, but that's not what defines her. She's a born caretaker, from her family and friends all the way to her family in the Physics Department. From simple gestures like talking about each other's day to full-blown motherly duties, there has never been someone in the department who cares more for the wellbeing of everyone there than Laura. I can't count the number of times just talking with her has made my day and others infinitely better.
Now she needs our help. Laura was recently diagnosed with breast cancer and will soon have to leave her job, maybe even retiring. As such, she has worries about medical bills, rent, family expenses, etc. We would love to take some of that burden off her so that she can focus on treatment and recovery. If there is anything you can donate, and anything at all helps, we would humbly ask that you do.
Thank you for taking the time out of your day to read and help!
