Hi, my name is Jodi, and a few of us are helping raise money for Laura's medical expenses. Laura was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer last August. She began her fight right away. After her first round of treatments, Laura went to see if surgery was an option at that point. She was referred to Froedert Hospital. Laura, her husband Danny, and her mother made the trip down for the appointment. A pancreas transplant team consulted with Laura, and it was determined that the tumor was inoperable due to blood vessels being too intertwined. Laura and her family came back home. Danny and Laura dropped her mom off at her house and went to get some food. While at the restaurant, they received the call that Laura's mother had collapsed. Unfortunately, she did not make it. Laura was dealt two heavy blows in less than a day. Her husband is an over-the-road truck driver. He does his best to be home as much as possible to support her but must also work. Laura is receiving a new round of treatments. In the picture, Laura is in the middle. Her brother and sister-in-law shaved their heads also in support. Laura's family and friends have been there for Laura during this journey.

 

Now it is becoming too much of a financial burden.  Medical expenses are growing, and Laura's treatments require travel, getting more expensive with fuel costs. Please donate any amount you can to help.
