Laura beats cancer!

Hello all!

As many of you now know, our dear friend Laura has been diagnosed with breast cancer. It is stage one, however, it is an aggressive type and her treatment is going to be lengthy and intense. 

Because her type is so aggressive her doctors have decided on a double mastectomy and 5 months of intense chemotherapy.

In addition, she will also be undergoing IVF treatment for egg harvesting, since this chemotherapy regimen will negatively impact her fertility.

Her surgery will be on November 3rd at Duke Cancer Center in Raleigh. She will be staying in the Raleigh area with her family and receiving all treatments there.

Our sweet friend could really use our help now more than ever. The treatments will be costly and she will be out of work for many months to come. Any amount that you can contribute will help ease the financial burden of this process so she can focus on healing. 

We do ask that you keep this page private for now. Laura would like to maintain her privacy about this but we will keep you all updated as best we can.

We hate that she is having to go through this but we are so glad she will not be doing it alone. She truly has an amazing village of supporters and we will get her through this one day at a time.
