Laundromat, Texas: Texas Based Short Film By Matthew Dylan

Howdy,

I am Matthew Dylan and I am fundraising for my next short film as a proof of concept for a feature length project.

In collaboration with Gerry Gesell, "The Weary Kind" was our first project together. We are currently creating "Laundromat, Texas" to be screened with our first project, as well as small documentary following a current singer/songwriter, Robert Elijah Kollman. Later this summer there will be a screening in Dallas to showcase the three projects together. All of these films will be in support of a feature length film that is in development

Film Synopsis: Imagine a Laundromat being the main character within a story. In the town of Laundromat, Texas, Henry, a drifter, seeking nothing but to disappear, finds that he has more in common with its occupants and their dirty laundry than he ever could imagine. With nowhere to go, and nobody to be, will Henry sit and listen to their stories?

All Donations Will Fund:

All donators will receive a private digital copy of the film as well as a special thanks in the credits of the film. Anyone who donate's a $100+ will be created as a Producer of the film. Anyone who donates $350+ will be created as a Executive Producer of the film.

My long term goal is to have this film be an addition to my portfolio that will support my first feature film. Being from Texas, I have a love and passion for my stories to be based here, as well as bringing film opportunities to the state. This collaboration will involve a team that is connected to the western industry, keeping it truly authentic to the story at hand.

"Laundromat, Texas" is a gritty, slice of life film, that allow the viewer to see the true but complicated stories of people within a small town.
