WHO WE ARE
Launching Pad is an expanding network of new paradigm spiritual communities. We are a welcoming and inclusive spiritual community that celebrates all people and all paths to God, spirituality, consciousness, love, happiness and peace.
We are part of the New Thought/Ancient Wisdom movement and are affiliated with the Centers for Spiritual Living. We teach the principles of Science of Mind. We currently have locations active in Berkeley, California, St. George, Utah, and Ashland, Oregon.
We are elevating a powerful group of emerging leaders who are awake, authentic, and committed to living their magnificence in their own lives and to creating a future that works for all. The world needs new leaders who live in a paradigm of cooperation, mutuality, and respect for the unity of all life. We are here to be a bridge across the chasms of separation that have divided religions, countries, and people.
Each of us is shaped by the events of our lives, the people we meet, the choices we make. More of these defining moments occur in early adulthood than almost any other time of our lives. The Launching Pad provides a touchstone, a place of love, acceptance, skill-building and support for making wise life choices. We teach spiritual principles and practices that support living a life of choice, of self-love and service to the world.
WHAT WE DO
Our purpose is to support emerging leaders in finding and activating their life's purpose through inner transformation, meditation, community events, education, and intentional living spaces.
These events are transformational in that they provide consciousness tools in a loving and supportive community. classes in personal development, spiritual retreats, leadership trainings. Our participants report that these events have really been key moments of breakthroughs and building new habits.
Since opening in 2010, Launching Pad has offered:
• Six annual meditation retreats, held over the New Year holiday. These deep, mostly silent, introspective retreats are an alternative to partying and have provided a powerful opportunity to claim new intentions for the year ahead.
• Two years of the Social Artistry Odyssey, a week long summer leadership traning & community building event, co-hosted withthe Jean Houston Foundation.
• Weekly Friday night spiritual gatherings featuring both local and national speakers, musicians, and facilitators. They have been an example of an emerging paradigm of spiritual community, and are a platform for many millenials to gain and practice leadership skills rooted in passion and purpose.
• Community events including: open mic nights, friends holiday parties, birthdays, concerts, fundraisers, book studies, group meditation, rites of passage ceremonies, ecstatic dance, and yoga classes.
• Classes accredited through Centers for Spiritual Living, teach the principles of the Science of Mind, offering tools and practices for living an empowered life. This past August the second round of Practitioners were licensed.
WHY WE ARE RAISING MONEY
While we try to keep the costs of our offerings low, many people are unable to afford the upfront cost of our classes and retreats. Prices can range from $20 a week for a 10 week class, up to hundreds of dollars for retreats, plus travel and supplies.
The intention of this campaign is to create a SCHOLARSHIP FUND to ensure that any individual who is in financial need and ready and motivated to show up to their spiritual path and wants to participate in our offerings can do so.
HOW THE FUND WILL WORK
Those who request scholarships will be sent an application in which they will be asked to share about their journey thus far and why taking a class/attending an event would benefit their growth.
Once approved, the applicant's agreement is to:
• Attend the class/retreat for which they receive the scholarship
• Write 3-5 thank you notes to those who have contributed to this fund and thus made this experience possible
• Document the shifts and changes in their life as a result of taking this class or attending this event and submit a brief summary at the completion
