Help Launch The Second Chance Project CIC
Supporting transplant recipients to rebuild their lives through sport, confidence, and community.
Hi everyone,
I’m launching The Second Chance Project, a Community Interest Company created exclusively to support transplant recipients as they rebuild their lives after surgery.
Life after a transplant can be overwhelming — physically, mentally, financially, and emotionally.
Many people want to return to sport, movement, and a sense of belonging… but the barriers can feel impossible.
This project exists to change that.
You can explore the mission here:
---
What The Second Chance Project Will Do
This CIC is being built for transplant recipients only, offering:
Micro-grants to help with club fees, kit, transport, equipment
Access to inclusive sport opportunities for all ages and abilities
Confidence-building workshops and peer support
Lived-experience talks, mentoring, and pathways back into activity
Specialist support for those struggling after major surgery
A community that understands the journey from hospital bed to starting line
This is for the people who have survived the unimaginable…
and now need a hand getting back to living.
---
What the funds will help with
To launch this CIC properly and open the doors to our first participants, I’m raising funds for:
CIC registration and legal setup
A launch fund of micro-grants for transplant recipients in immediate need
Every contribution — big or small — builds the foundations of a project designed to give transplant recipients the support, dignity, and opportunities they deserve.
