Saving and Extending a Life Through One Habit

Donation protected
My dad died of cancer at the age of 64. He was the best dad! I had 21 lucky years to know him as my father, and I feel cheated that he died young. Now at 40, I think about all the missed moments, conversations, and experiences we could of shared if he were still alive.

Before he was diagnosed with his terminal cancer, I wondered what if someone shared with him one simple health tip that turned into his new health habit, could that small act save or extended his life? Well, I have discovered that yes it could have…

Researchers say up to 90% of cancer cases are caused by lifestyle, environmental, and nutrition factors.

Mark began with proper hydration and then worked towards reversing his type 2 diabetic diagnosis; now he spends his evenings at home playing with his eight year old instead of crashing in front of TV before bed.

Beth began with mindfully chewing her food that eventually lead to healing her digestive issues; she is no longer burden with her painful symptoms and is enjoying her new and sustained energy in life.

• Sylvia began with walking during her lunch hour that ultimately lead her to losing 40 pounds and taking hiking vacations to meet a community of active seniors.

What do these three people have in common? It started with one simple habit change that compounded to a major health transformation. That small adjustment drastically changed the health trajectory in their lives for the better. These are lifestyle changes that allows fathers to spend more time with their kids, spouses to avoid becoming widows, and friends to keep their besties around a little longer.

Over the past two and half years I have worked to write a book called, “The One Habit Difference: How Adding One New Health Habit Can Lead To A Lifetime of Good Health.”

The book was written to help people with inspiration, ideas, and a starting point to begin their health journey. It has 101 health habits organized in three areas: nutrition, lifestyle, and exercise. Each habit is described with why it’s important, the science behind it, and how to implement it.

This book is meant to give people and their loved ones a way to, “right the ship” before it is too late. I’d give anything to have a chance to prevent my dad’s death, I wish someone gave this book to me and my dad 25 years ago, and he incorporated any one of these habits. Today if I can help prevent someone else from losing a loved one too soon, I’d love to give that gift to them.

 WHY I NEED YOUR SUPPORT

Working with a publisher is a nightmare. Publishers have little to no interest in working with new “non-celebrity” authors, take 80-90% of your revenue, and offering little to no support in marketing & promotion. I would rather turn to my community and like-minded supporters to help launch this book.

 The money contributed goes to:

•Professional Cover Design • Professional Editors • Formatting • Promotion • Distribution • Educational Workshops •  Gifted copies to low-income families

Everyone that contributes $100 or more will receive 2 signed copies once the book is available.

 With gratitude!
