Black-owned businesses open at some of the highest rates in the country, and close at some of the highest rates too — not for lack of quality, but for lack of visibility and consistent support. Independent shops face the same uphill climb against algorithms built for big chains, not corner stores.

We built something to change that.

The Kin App is a mobile platform that makes supporting Black-owned and independent local businesses simple, social, and genuinely rewarding. At its heart is The Kindex — our built-in scoring system that tracks how you show up for your community. Every visit, every purchase, every share earns points on your personal Kindex. Supporting local stops being abstract and becomes something you can see, track, and be proud of. This isn't a whiteboard idea. The coding and design are done — the Featured Business Profile screenshot above is a real, working screen from a real app. We're not asking you to fund a dream from scratch. We're asking you to help us clear the final hurdles before launch.
