Hello Darlings,
Can you believe that we are about to celebrate our 2 year anniversary?! We are over the moon at the rate that we are building our vision of empowering beauty and authenticity from the INSIDE out. SHINE is completely women owned and operated. We have 9 happily and currently employed. We run wine and workout events every Wednesday, women inspired events bi-weekly (a featured women in business or woke woman speaker), and have launched a way to Rent the Boutique for parties and fundraisers. Did you know that we cut all of the size tags out of our clothing? We were tired of the number that someone else attached to us via clothing, and wanted to eliminate the judgement that we place on ourselves when we are standing in that dressing room alone. We came up with a color coded system of smallest to largest in each of the lines we carry. We find it is more of a guideline, and recommend that people shop for their body shape. It has rocked the minds and hearts of all who shop with us.
Our amazing CEMFO Noelle Benjamin has given up her paycheck for the year and made the garage of our space into a home for herself and her son. She committed to this because she knew that each of the employees within these walls is irreplaceable, and would rather build the village with them, than without them. How dope is that?!
We are looking to raise working capital to launch us into the future of our community interaction. We have 2 specific projects that we are hoping to roll out by raising this money with our clients, friends, and lady gang members, as well as invest in our inventory.
1) We would like to market and advertise ourselves as an event space, and do it the correct way by putting the materials into the hands of event co-ordinators, non-profit teams, and scene developers to gain more traction.
2)Purchase a t-shirt printer to begin to produce more of our own very comical shirts. We will also be marketing this as an addition to our events portion. Parties will be able to create their own designs or use one of our extremely funny pre-made designs.
