The Journey of Ants: The Divided Empire
This project started in late 2020, during the height of COVID lockdowns. Sitting in bed, I had time, boredom, and an unshakable urge to commit to my writing career. Over the past 4.5 years, Ants: The Divided Empire (working title) became a constant source of excitement and creative therapy.
Today, on March 5, 2025, the project is finally coming to its final stage. I am proud of the work, but I need help getting the finished product into people’s hands.
That’s why I am asking my community for $11,000.

Why I Wrote This Book
My mission has always been to implement projects that interface with disadvantaged populations. I believe we must lead the world toward a brighter future by coming together to cultivate good health and ultimate respect for one another. There is so much work to do to make that happen.
First, we must unleash the constructive guideposts of conventional wisdom to maximize our potential in this complex world. Ants seek to do what it takes to whittle down that enormous workload.
The Story & Its Message
Everyone asks, “what’s your novel about?” Let’s allow a sneak peek:
A group of rebel ants travel across a perilous desert to capture the Queen of a rival colony. Their goal? To elicit war and establish a new order of leadership.
This book explores the importance of receptivity and collaboration in realizing individual and collective potential. Using structural differences brought out by colonial realities, it challenges how our human existence is often structured to limit and control rather than empower and liberate.
Why Ants?
If numbers tell an accurate tale, ants are the most successful creatures on Earth, with a population of over 20 quadrillion. Yes, quadrillion. They have highly structured societies, where every individual has a role. The Queen and her closest companions live the longest and enjoy the most privilege and comfort, while others labor tirelessly for survival. Sound familiar?
By examining their world, we can better understand our own. Ants: The Divided Empire is a social critique wrapped in a sci-fi-ic adventure, asking readers to reconsider hierarchy, power, and unity.
