Hello, my name is Debra and I’m the creator and owner of Deb’s Place Soul Food Truck.
In 2009 I was laid off from my job of 6 years and also caring for both my elderly parents, I decided to put my love for cooking into action.
I created a menu and flyer which I took around to local businesses such as barbershops, beauty salons, stores, and factories placing orders. From this point I earned the trust and respect of 76 weekly regular customers who ordered fresh down home comfort soul food dinners.
My customers provided me with great reviews on my services and the food. From this point Deb’s Place turned from a dream to reality.
After a year of serving my customers I decided to move my business to the next level and with a lot of hard work and persistence I purchased and paid for my first food truck.
Now I would like to take Deb’s Place to the next level and offer the public a chance to taste and experience great home-cooked soul food that will leave you coming back for more!
Any amount you can contribute to help make this a success is greatly appreciated. It is my desire to give back to my community through my business. I will donate 50 dinners to my local homeless shelter to help others who may be in need of a blessing.
In launching my business I would love to give back to someone who has a vision to own their own business as well. I’ve always been a giving person to my family, friends, and strangers. I love to volunteer, provide financial support, or just lend a helping hand. I am an active member of my community and church.
I believe God has given each of us a gift to be used to bless others and help one another.
