After 3 years of planning and gathering community partners (an HBCU, afterschool, and data leaders), we are not letting deep federal budget cuts to programming stop us from launching our Dat'Life program for youth. This program pays teens to learn about statistics and data science while researching issues they care about in their local communities. Our program also introduces teens to data scientists and experts from various organizations and businesses, allowing them to see and be their future.
The Spring 2026 pilot will begin with 20-30 youth in Washington, DC. We plan to bring the same opportunity to youth in cities, suburbs, and rural areas throughout the country, but we are counting on you to help us with the final touches on our curriculum and to start our recruitment for a late January 2026 start date.
