laughter for Luke, lets help Luke conquer cancer.

We are a group of life long friends raising money for Luke, the five year old son of our dear friends, and his family. 
Luke has stage four cancer. The primary is in his bladder and prostrate with secondary cancers in his lungs, pelvis and leg.
When Luke was diagnosed with rhabdomyosarcoma, his whole family had to move to Brisbane immediately to begin an arduous year long treatment schedule, that includes both chemotherapy and radium therapy among other invasive and painful procedures and medication.
Luke has five tubes permanently attached inside his little body which cause pain and discomfort on a daily basis.
On diagnosis Luke's mum had to resign from her job and his siblings had to move schools. Luke's Dad travels to Rockhampton each week to support the family financially (only able to spend the weekends together), while his mum looks after Luke and his siblings in Brisbane. It is very hard for his Dad to be separated from his family all week and equally difficult for his mum to deal with all the work, stress and emotions created by 24 hour medical treatment on her own.
This is an extremely tumultuous and emotional time for them all and we would love to lift some of their burden and take the financial pressure off a little. If we can raise enough we hope to reunite them all in Brisbane on a permanent basis loving and supporting each other.
We would like to offer this support as soon as possible so they can be together and focus on getting Luke better.
