John Filippi Memorial Fund

My cousin, John Filippi passed away suddenly on Saturday, January 31st.  John left behind his wife and children who are struggling to deal not only with the sudden loss of their husband and father, but with the unexpected costs of a funeral and burial.  The family has very limited means, and his wife is working full time as well as attending school full time to become a nurse.  John had made many poor decisions in the past, but those of us who knew him loved him deeply and supported him through his struggles because we recognized the quality of his character.  John was one of the kindest people I've ever known, and was truly looking forward to a life with his wife and getting to know and be a father to all of his children.  John's family is now faced with not only his physical loss, but the loss of income that he had been providing.  Any help towards offsetting the costs of his burial, and helping his wife and children continue on is deeply appreciated.  John would have given anybody the shirt off his back if they had asked him.  Please pay it forward...
