La Tranca has been a staple in Costa Rica since 1981. It's located up in the "San Jose " mountain range in a small town called Tarbaca. My aunt and family have taken so much pride the past 35 years to make the experience there absolutely amazing for all their guests. With personal touches, and authentic Costa Rican food, this open air rustic restaurant has brought so many families and friends together time after time. The holidays most importantly are where it shines; especially Mothers Day where the restaurant is always filled with enthusiastic foodies showing Mom some much needed love.
This Costa Rican staple carries with it a gigantic piece of my heart. Every time I visit I make at least a few trips to meet with family and share what my family has grown that is so dear to her. The morning of November 25th, 2016 the restaurant caught fire and it was a complete and total loss. You can see pictures attached.
As this was my families livelihood, I can only imagine the struggle to make ends meet, stay positive and fall forward with a newly re-Built La Tranca. Obviously that process can take time and is financially stressful, my natural instict is to help out in any way possible and in that light I've created this GoFundMe to page to try and help my family out in Costa Rica in whichever way possible.
